The most beautiful tours between lake and mountains
Over 500 km of marked hiking trails are waiting to be conquered by you. They lead through beautiful forests, to cozy alpine pastures, up to the summits of some mountains. How far and high you climb is up to you. Lake Millstätter See forms the center of the region. The water world of the lake is surrounded by a magnificent mountain world that is worth every visit. Together with the Millstätter Alpe, the Nockberge National Park lies in the north of the region. To the south-east, the mystical Mirnock attracts mountaineers, while the Goldeck sports mountain stretches into the sky to the west. Get ready - there is a lot to experience in the hiking region of Carinthia.
On the Millstätter See high trail
Eight stages take you to eight different places along the fascinating high-level trail along the lakeshore. Linger a while, enjoy the view and read the information along the way. The path is also known as the "Sentiero dell'Amore " - the path of love, with ruby red gemstones showing you the way. The Garnet Gate is the highlight of the high-level trail. This opens up a breathtaking view of the lake that will inspire you. Some say that this view also opens up a glimpse of the shared future of the hikers on the high trail.
To the Millstätter Alm
Another remarkable hike that we would like to highlight. The 3-hut hike to the Millstätter Alm is a highlight of the region. From the Schwaiger Hütte you hike in the direction of the Millstätter Hütte. Via a path, you climb higher over the Millstätter Törl to the summit of the Kamplnock. From there you have a breathtaking view of the Nockberge mountains, the Hochalmspitze and the Ankogel. On the way back, you visit three huts. The walk from hut to hut takes around 30 minutes, which will certainly seem short, as you have great views over the lake and mountains.
